Our Novel Writing course will cover all the essentials you need to get that book written. This course is ideally suited to those who are either working on or wanting to write their first novel.

Module 1: Understanding the first principles.
Get to grips with plot, story structure and setting, avoiding some of the common mistakes that authors can make along the way.

Module 2: Research and planning.
It’s said you should write what you know but, in reality, that’s pretty limiting. For all other areas, research is the answer!

Module 3: Building great characters.
Characters are the cornerstone of our books and memorable characters are what keep our readers turning the pages right to the end.

Module 4: Point of view.
There are different ways we can bring our readers into our story. Picking the right point of view and keeping that point of view consistent can make the difference between your book being a huge success or not.

Module 5: Writing Scenes.
Scenes deliver your story to the reader. Setting great scenes helps you hook your reader from the start to the finish of your book.

Module 6: Writing Great Dialogue.
Dialogue draws your readers eye and their attention. Writing great dialogue is a real skill that will enhance your storytelling.

Module 7: The Process of Writing
Writing means getting on with it. It’s easy to procrastinate and make no real progress. Following a process and a level of routine helps you to see results.
