Friday, 17th March, 2023, saw the official opening night for our fabulous new venue in Beal, North Yorkshire. It’s been a challenging few weeks getting the place ready for 
our first set of writers but we pulled the developments in on time for us to open as planned with our inaugural group retreat starting on 11th.
What a great first week it has been. The feedback on the venue has been excellent with the writers suggesting that we have really hit the mark in terms of comfort and atmosphere.
To round off such a great start, we had an evening of wonderful 
food, cooked by our very own Shane, drink in our newly licensed bar, and celebration to mark our official opening, with a reading from Ian Gouge, which was extremely well-received. This was a great opportunity for me to personally thank all those who have played such a big part in getting this new chapter off the ground, especially, Ann, who is a mainstay of our retreats, Shane and Tony.
Bookings are now open for our forthcoming group retreats, academic retreats and individual quiet stays.
