Want to create a complete short work of fiction in a day, surrounded by the glorious Yorkshire countryside for inspiration? This workshop will guide you through the stages of crafting a compelling short story from idea generation, to the final polishing. Under the guidance of professional writer and writing mentor Sara Bodinar you’ll:
● Write a 1-2K word short story that you can submit to writing competitions
● Get top tips on how to develop characters that your readers will love
● Create a strong plot, full of suspense and drama
● Produce an accompanying pitch for your story to broaden your chances of getting it read by top publishers
● Feel inspired among like-minded souls and new friends
This course runs from 10am-5pm with a delicious lunch included. Writers of all levels are welcome. You don’t need previous writing experience. By the end of day, you’ll have brought a brand new story to life. Whether you’re new to writing, but have a story to tell, or you wish to expand upon your existing fiction-writing skills, this workshop is designed to be fun and rewarding.
