We’re excited to announce that renowned criminal psychologist, broadcaster and writer Linda Sage is hosting a weekend crime writing residential from 20-22 September.

Linda has spent forty years working with the UK’s most notorious criminals, including the Krays, Fred and Rosemary West and Charles Bronson. As well as being asked by television companies to sense-check crime dramas, she now uses her wealth of expertise to provide training, consultation, insight and support to a wide range of audiences and stakeholders.

This is a rare opportunity to listen firsthand to a unique perspective on the criminal mindset. You will learn about the motivations and psychologies behind criminal behaviours, and how to tackle grittier plotlines with credibility and confidence.

We do have a ground floor bedroom available on special request for anyone with mobility issues.

Arrive on day one from 2pm (earlier arrival can be arranged, if needed) and settle into your room at our homely and peaceful venue in Yorkshire. Writing time starts just as soon as you’re ready either in the peace of your comfortable room or in one of our shared writing areas. Afternoon tea is included on your first day and refreshments will be available on arrival.

We have a full schedule, too, of optional additional activities and workshops.
